Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Maskpol, a manufacturer of military equipment, has announced plans to employ 250 people at its newly opened plant in Częstochowa. The company signed a contract with the Armament Agency on 7 April for the supply of tens of thousands of KKZ-01 bulletproof vests for the Polish Armed Forces, which requires an increase in production capacity; the increase in production capacity is also related to other concluded and negotiated contracts with the Inspectorate of Support for the Polish Armed Forces and the Armament Agency. The new production facility in Częstochowa is anticipated to commence its operations within the upcoming months, with a plan to employ personnel for the production of bulletproof vests and other personal safety equipment.
