Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Eviden, a company in the cloud and application services sector, has announced it will recruit 3,000 people over the next three years at its newly opened centre in Bydgoszcz, doubling its workforce. The recruitment is related to the separation of the new Eviden company from Atos (the new company will focus on more advanced 'cloud' services) and the opening of the Cloud Engineering Centre on 13 April 2023; people related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, building advanced cloud services will be employed.
Eviden is a newly formed company, demerged from Atos; Atos is a global company, focused on digital transformation with 111,000 employees and annual revenue of c. € 11 billion.
