Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Italian fashion house Prada Group plans to hire 400 new employees by the end of 2023 to enhance its production capacity, with a focus on the Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche regions. The Scandicci-based leather goods division will see a 50% increase in staff, including 30 trainees from the Prada Group Academy. Piancastagnaio, Siena, will add 50 employees for its leather goods production, while the Perugino-based knitwear factory will hire 85 people.
Prada Group Academy will train over 200 new professionals as part of the strategy, which aims to expand the company's facilities and internal manufacturing expertise, providing greater autonomy and agility in responding to market demands.
