Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Capgemini, one of the world's largest IT services companies, has launched a vast campaign to recruit 9,000 people in 2023, however due to the high turnover the actual number of net job creations will be closer to 2,500. Capgemini announced it will recruit on permanent contracts, including 4,500 juniors, in all the branches of its activities: IT services, industrial engineering and consulting. Some of the hirings will take place in Lyon (500) and in Grenoble (310).
The group has 38,000 employees in France (360,000 worldwide) and has increased its turnover by 21% in 2022. A previous announcement has been made in 2022 concerning the hiring of 400 employees at the Rennes site (Ille-et-Villaine) (Capgemini 2022 - FR).
