Description
Avery Dennison, a multinational manufacturer and distributor of pressure-sensitive adhesive materials, apparel branding, labels and tags has announced it will be dismissing 245 of its employees in its facility in Soignies. The measure is part of a larger restructuring within the company that consists of automatisation, modernisation and relocation of some of its activities to other sites in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and the UK.
The main goal of this plan is to increase overall productivity within the different facilities. The trade unions are upset with the decision of the company management, given the current economic climate and demand the decision to be reversed.
