The Japanese group Murata Manufacturing, a world leader in the production of passive components, has announced the recruitment of 100 employees to support a €60 million investment in its French subsidiary factory, Murata Integrated Passive Solutions factory, located in Caen (Calvados).
The French plant is specialised in the production of silicon capacitors with applications in mobile, aerospace, telecommunication and healthcare infrastructures. The plant intends to double the production of silicon capacitors by setting up a production unit for integrated passive silicon components on 200 mm wafers. The investment is supported by the France 2030 programme and European funds.
Murata Integrated Passive Solutions currently employs 200 people in France and wants to recruit another 100 by 2025.
