Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Central Directorate of Border Police (Direction centrale de la police aux frontières - DCPAF), a branch of the National Police responsible for immigration and border control, has announced the recruitment of 1,300 border guards across France by the end of 2024. With the approaching Rugby World Cup in the summer of 2023 and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris , the need for positions in such roles to be filled has been accelerated. The objectives are to recruit 365 border guards by May 2023, and to reach a total of 1,300 recruitments by the end of 2024.
A large part of the recruitment concerns the Paris region, but positions in other regions are also available, particularly within the country's main airports. Two job profiles have been opened as part of this recruitment campaign for administrative staff and contract workers to join the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories.
