Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The consulting and auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has announced the establishment of an auditing centre in the city of Valladolid. A total of 240 jobs are expected to be created over three years, of which 100 jobs are expected to be created in July of this year with the opening of the centre. The company has announced that the new recruits will include both recent university graduates and senior professionals. The company has a collaboration agreement with the University of Valladolid to "capture talent", especially graduates from financial, technological and STEM careers. PWC's new auditing centres has been positively received by local and regional authorities.
In 2023, a business expansion was recorded in the ERM database for PwC. In Poland, 200 jobs have been created (PwC-2023-PL).
