Description
Baritech, a company that produces components for surgical masks, announced that it will not ask for an extension of the redundancy fund (Cassa Integrazione) period expiring on 31 January 2023, and will therefore lay off the company's 113 employees.
The request made by the trade unions was for an extension of a further 20 days, which was not accepted by the company. The extension had been requested to try to find buyers but, despite some expressions of interest in the past, there were never any binding offers.
