Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Romanian company, Lidas producer of baked goods in Romania, will open a frozen pastry plant at Cataloi (Tulcea County) and create 200 new jobs. The hiring process started and it will end by 31 March 2023. The company invested €46 million half of which is state aid. The production capacity of the new plant is of 3 tonnes per hour of bakery products and 1 tonne of pastry products per hour.
The new positions are in the production, delivery, administrative and management departments. The company owns a bakery and pastry manufacturer at Mineri (Tulcea County) which has a production annual output of almost 10,000 tonnes. Lidas portfolio also includes a mill, warehouses and its own network of shops.
The company was established in 1993, being a family business in the fields of milling and bakers and has a workforce of 300 persons.
