Ethics in the digital workplace

Mercedes has announced it is going to recruit 200 workers for its Kecskemét plant in 2023, due to the ongoing expansion of its production capacity. The recruiting started in December 2022, primarily targeting engineers, HR personnel, maintenance staff and logistics specialists.
The firm decided to add new production lines at the Kecskemét plant in the summer of 2022. This expansion is part of the process of a complete shift to electric vehicles by 2030. The Kecskemét plant – along with the Rastatt plant – is intended to initially play the role of producing "entry luxury-level" vehicles, to which the production of one of the "core luxury"-level electric models will be added in the second half of the 2020s.
The investment cost is roughly €1 billion, to which the Hungarian government provides a non-refundable investment subsidy of €35 million.
