Description

Petrochemia-Blachownia has announced the closure of a benzol processing plant. The notification for the planned downsizing at the Kędzierzyn-Koziel site has reached the Provincial Labor Office in Opole - 89 people will be laid off.

The director of the plant has stated that the reason for this decision is the war in Ukraine and the associated shortages of raw materials, which are making it economically unviable to continue operations. The dismissals will be in the form of group layoffs, which means that the layoff process must end within 30 days of their announcement.Petrochemia-Blachownia is a chemistry production facility in Poland, founded in 1952. It manufactures carbochemical and petrochemical products which are used in the chemical industry.
