Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Τhe Public Power Corporation S.A. (PPC), launched a voluntary redundancies programme, which is expected to include from 300 to 400 employees. The programme announced by the PPC on 8 December of 2022 and will be completed by 15 February 2023. The programme is addressed mainly to administrative staff, aged around 58 years.
The company provide financial incentives to employees, aiming at reducing operating costs and renewing its staff. The maximum amount that an employee can receive by participating in the voluntary exit program is €45,000.
