The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The telecommunications company Telia has initiated negotiations for the lay-offs of 150 employees in Sweden. The company has not yet specified which functions will be affected by the redundancies, nor in which parts of the country. Simultaneous cooperation negotiations have been initiated in Finland and Norway.
According to a company representative, Telia’s worked since 2021 to reduce staff costs by limiting recruitments and use of consultants. Telia is planning to continue cutting staff costs until 2025.
Telia operates in the Nordic and Baltic countries, employing 20,000 people, out of which 4,135 in Sweden.
