Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Alstom is a multinational company operating in the manufacture of railway locomotives and rolling stock. The company has announced that it will recruit 400 people in 2023, looking for people with a background in mathematics, physics, electronic and mechanical technical (related to mobility), and from major engineering faculties.
The need to recruit comes from the increased demands in the ecological transition, in particular for mobility. The profile sought are mainly from math, physics and engineering.
The company also plans internal training courses (about 21 hours of training per employee) that will take place in-house, through Alstom University.
