Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish solar cell manufacturer Svea Solar will recruit 800 new employees globally in 2023, including several hundred in Sweden. The recruitment covers several occupations from technicians to salespersons and IT developers.
In response to the electricity price shock, the Swedish government has decided to introduce an increase in the tax reduction for the installation of solar cells, making the purchase of solar panels more affordable for the consumers. This has led to an increase in demand. According to Svea Solar's CEO, labour shortage is a challenge for recruitment.
