Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Capgemini, one of the world's largest IT services companies, has announced the recruitment of 400 employees in 2023 for its site at Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), which currently has 1,800 employees.
The group has created its 7th French innovation space in Rennes, called the Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE), where around ten employees work. This space is dedicated to developing solutions for Capgemini's major clients, involved in cyber defence and telecommunications. The space is open to start-ups from Rennes who wish to present their solutions, but also to Capgemini's partner schools.
By 2022, Capgemini has recruited nearly 1,000 people for its Nantes and Rennes sites. The group generated €18 billion in revenues with 350,000 employees, 38,000 of whom are in France.
