Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ziehl-Abegg, a German fan and drive technology manufacturer, has announced it plans to create up to 400 jobs at their new plant in Lodz, Poland. The goal of the company is to create up to 400 positions of mostly operational and engineer workers within 5 years. The construction of the fan plant began in late October 2022 and the plant is expected to be ready by June 2023. Enhanced demand is the main reason for the expansion and the €50 million investment.
The German company currently operates16 plants and employs 4700 people, globally.
