Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Atlantic group has announced the hiring of 150 to 200 people at its production site, nearly 50 people at its head office at La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée) and the recruitment of 200 people in its site at Merville (Nord) et Billy-Berclau (Pas-de-Calais). A total of 400 to 450 people should be hired in total in 2023.
In Vendée, on the industrial side, the group is looking for all types of production profiles. The R&D functions (electronics and others), technical services, quality, process, maintenance and logistics will also be expanded. For the head office, positions related to IT and human resources are to be filled.
The Atlantic group has 900 employees on permanent contracts (a number that has doubled in twenty years) in its industrial activities of design and manufacture of electronic cards, electric heaters and traditional or thermodynamic electric water heaters. The group has recruited 130 employees in 2022 and intends to continue its efforts to strengthen its plant. In early 2022, the group completed the investment that will enable it to double its water heater production capacity.
In Nord and Nord-Pas-de-Calais, 200 positions are to be filled by the end of 2023, 150 in production and 50 in structure. 900 people work on its two sites. The jobs sought range from workers to production line operators, as well as engineers, technicians and sales staff.
Atlantic has 4,000 employees throughout France.
