Pharmaceutical multinational, GE Healthcare, has announced it will hire 140 employees for its plant in Carrigtwohill, Cork. Recruitment has begun and includes project managers, operatives, engineers, quality control personnel and facility management. The expansion is connected to the new opening of a € 30.5m manufacturing line at the facility. The company estimates that the new manufacturing line will increase production capacity at the Cork facility by over 50 percent by 2025.
GE Healthcare’s Carrigtwohill facility opened in 1993 and currently employs 765 people.
