Ringier Axel Springer Polska (RASP), a Polish branch of the media and tech company, has made an announcement to reduce its 2,000 employees workforce by 8% by the end of the year.The reasons cited by the company's spokesperson include rapid costs increase and difficult market conditions.
The company will be engaged in talks with trade unions for up to 20 days, concerning the collective dismissals.
The positions that are to be reduced, relate to newspaper and online news services, as RASP have announced they will be shutting down two websites, a newspaper, and will reduce the number of issues of another newspaper.
Most job reductions will affect Warsaw-based positions.
