Description
The Spanish Halcón Ceramics Group has announced a redundancy plan (ERE) encompassing 185 employees; moreover 550 temporary positions will be cut. This will have a huge impact on a company that employs around 1,000 people in Spain. The tile sector- concentrated in the province of Castellón- has been facing a difficult moment. Halcón needs to downsize the production because it is struggling with the increasing energy prices.
The Halcón group, in the 'top 25' leading companies in ceramic production worldwide in 2021, is negotiating a dossier motivated by high energy costs.
