Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Hitachi Energy Bulgaria is expanding the production of high voltage products and will create 180 new jobs in its factory in Sevlievo. The new production facility was officially opened on September 21 and adds 6200 sq. m. of production area. After the opening the number of employees will rise to over 800.
Currently the factory covers an area of 74000 sq. m. Hitachi Energy Bulgaria manufactures high-voltage components for gas insulated switchgear (GIS) generator circuit breakers (GCB), control cabinets (LCC) and capacitor banks (MECB). The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and automation of the process. The investment is 20 million BGN (10 Mln. Euro).
Hitachi Energy Bulgaria became an owner of former ABB Power grid production facilities in Bulgaria in 2018.
