Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ICS Medical Devices, a medical device company specialising in catheter design and manufacturing services, has announced it will hire 100 new employees for its new manufacturing and research facility in Galway, Ireland. ICS Medical moved into this new facility in May 2022. Recruitment for the new roles in engineering, research and development as well as manufacturing has already started.
ICS Medical Devices work with medical device 'start-ups' to develop catheter technologies for minimally invasive medicine. The company plans to begin further expansion of the new manufacturing facility in 2023.
The company currently employs 70 people in Ireland.
