Description
The packaging manufacturer Dunapack, a subsidiary of the Austrian conglomerate Prinzhorn Holding, starts the test run at its new production site in Dunavarsány in the middle of September. After the gradual ramping up of production, the peak number of employees will reach more than 100. The recruiting of the workforce is already underway.
Dunapack is a market leader in the production of packaging materials based on corrugated cardboard. The cost of the establishment of the new Dunavarsány plant was approximately € 60 million. With the help of the new production site, the firm will be able to meet almost the total demand of domestic industrial firms for corrugated cardboard-based packaging materials.
The corrugated cardboard Dunapack uses as input is predominantly made of recycled paper. The firm buys the necessary input material from another Hungary-based Prinzhorn subsidiary.
