Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Hager group, a German manufacturer of electrical installations, opened a new plant in Bieruń (Poland), on 20 September 2023. The company announced the creation of 1,000 jobs at the site.
Most jobs will be for operational workers. The plant will produce electrical safety devices.
The expansion has been undertaken in order to offer and increase Hager Groups market competitiveness within the region. The investment in the plant will be EUR 50 million (PLN 238,000,000).
Founded in Germany in 1955, the group currently has around 1,500 employees in Poland and 12,000 worldwide.
