Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The commercial court of Bordeaux has declared the judicial liquidation of the goods transport and delivery company Tam Tam. All its 170 employees will be dismissed. The headquarters is based in Yvrac (Gironde). Founded in 1986, in 2019 Tam Tam was bought by the Labatut group (which claims 650 employees and 250 vehicles). Tam Tam was placed in receivership in April 2002 before declaring itself in suspension of payments. Since the company was placed in receivership, no buyer has come forward. The court therefore had no choice but to liquidate the company.
