Description
The State Food and Veterinary Service that develops and implements Government’s policy in food safety and quality as well as in animal health and welfare is to dismiss 110 employees in different Lithuanian regions. Such information was provided by the Lithuanian Employment Service. The main reason behind the dismissals is internal restructuring of the institution. The institution is implementing an operational optimisation plan, which will result in the elimination of certain positions in some regions of Lithuania. The majority of employees notified of dismissal work as administrators (63) and drivers (45).
The State Food and Veterinary Service is a State budgetary institution that currently employs 1,264 employees.
