Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on 8 September 2022, the German pharmaceutical company BioNTech will be expanding its workforce by approximately 2,000 within the next years. BioNTech intends to increase its workforce at its headquarters in Mainz from 3,000 to 5,000 employees. The company is currently expanding its research and production facilities in Mainz and intends to invest several billion euros within in the next years.
Additionally, BioNTech intends to create new Jobs in Marburg. However, there are currently no information on number of jobs nor a timeframe available.
