Amazon, a multinational technology company focused on e-commerce, has announced the creation of 1200 jobs at its newly built logistics centre in Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
As announced on 4 September 2022, Amazon will start operating its third logistics centre in Rhineland-Palatinate on 5 September, creating 1000 new jobs for shipping employees without special qualifications and 200 for specialists and managers. The US company announced that 1200 employment contracts have been signed. In the future, about 1800 people are to be hired, the company stated.
Amazon currently employs around 20,000 permanent logistics staff in 20 logistics centres at 19 locations in Germany.
