Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Mainstream Renewable Power is to create 100 jobs in Dublin over the next three years. The company is opening a new headquarters in Dublin and plans to develop three offshore windfarms in Ireland. The plan will mark the company's return to the Irish market. Some 50 of the 100 jobs will be created within the next year. The new roles will be in engineering, information solutions, finance, insurance, corporate affairs, corporate governance and project management.
The executive director at the State agency IDA Ireland said that the 'jobs announcement is great news for Ireland and those that wish to play a role in supporting Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon economy'.
Mainstream Renewable Power employs 650 worldwide, which have doubled since January 2021.
