Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The IT consulting firm Berger-Levrault has announced the recruitment of 250 employees in France in 2022, including 70 for its site in Toulouse (Haute Garonne). The company is recruiting in three main areas: development, testing, and commissioning with training consultants for their clients. It is mainly looking for developers, consultants-trainers and support staff. To cope with the shortage of manpower, the company will focus on behavioural and cross-disciplinary skills when recruiting, like curiosity and ability to learn. The company indicates that no trial period is required and that teleworking arrangement will be provided. The group employs 2,000 people worldwide, but most in France.
