Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Viessmann, a German manufacturer of heating and refrigeration systems, has announced that it will hire 200 people in Legnica. There, the company is currently building a new headquarters. The city was selected as a base for Central European markets because of the workers’ competencies and good relations with the local authorities. The opening of the new plant is planned for the end of 2022, but the recruitment process has already started.
Viessmann was founded in 1917. The plant in Legnica has been operating for over 20 years and employs over 1,200 people.
