Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The cosmetics factory Sarbec Cosmetics has completed the expansion of its production site in Neuville-en-Ferrain (Nord) and has announced the recruitment of 150 employees by 2025. The group has invested €25 million in the factory, where 300 employees currently work. The investment has enabled the creation of a 5,500m2 extension for the site; the aim is to double the production capacity. The formula manufacturing, bottle production and packaging workshops have been renovated and refurbished.
The company has three manufacturing sites in France, a fourth site in Poland and also 10 logistics sites. It employs 650 people worldwide and operates in 75 countries.
