Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The start-up Toopi Organics has announced the recruitment of 250 employees in the coming years to support its development. The company is specialised in trasforming human urine in an agricultural fertiliser. It has just opened its first industrial unit in France at Loupiac de la Réole (Gironde). The company is planning to raise further funds as it aims at opening five new production units by 2024, which will become twenty by 2027. The company's founder envisages strong development in the years to come, with a forecast turnover of €80 million in France over the next five years. Marketing has begun also in other countries.
Toopi Organics currently has 22 employees.
