Ice cream manufacturer Froneri has announced the recruitment of around 100 employees in 2022 at its factory in Plouédern, as part of its expansion. The company plans to double its production capacity to 560 tonnes per day. The unit would thus ensure the production of ice cream cones for the entire French market. To achieve this objective, the group aims at completely renew its industrial facilities by installing new lines without constructing additional buildings. In particular, it will take advantage of the vacant space left by the dairy production that was terminated in 2021: it was the only French dairy that was completely integrated into an ice cream manufacturer. The factory operates 24 hours a day and employs 500 people, a third of whom are seasonal workers,
Previous restructuring cases were recorded in the ERM database in 2018, with 317 job cuts and 98 job creations (Fornieri-2018-FR), and in 2017, with 104 job cuts (Fronieri-2017-FR).
