Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French major shipyard Les Chantiers de l'Atlantique has announced the recruitment of 400 employees at its naval site Saint-Nazaire by the end of the year. It has already recruited 150 employees since the beginning of the year. The main positions to be filled concern skilled workers (metal carpenters, boilermakers, locksmiths, welders, pipe fitters, naval mechanics, electricians), electricians and electrical engineers, draughtsmen, designers, technicians and engineers in the design office, works managers and supervisors. Maintenance and testing profiles, naval mechanics and scheduling and planning technicians are also sought.
Chantiers de l'Atlantique employs 3,350 people and had a turnover of €1.788 billion in 2021.
