Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish-British pharmaceutical manufacturer Astra Zeneca has announced to recruit 300 employees in Gothenburg. A majority of the open positions will be for researchers. According to the company, approximately half of the new employees will work in laboratories and focus on developing new medicine.
In parallel to the recruitment process, Astra Zeneca invests 100 million SEK (approximately €10 million) in research.
According to its website, the company has over 76,00 employees worldwide. Approximately 4,600 of them are located in Sweden. In Gothenburg, Astra Zeneca employs 2,600 people.
