Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The largest French insurance company Axa France has announced to recruit nearly 6,000 new employees including 3,000 young people in 2022. 700 employees will be recruited on permanent contracts and 500 on fixed-term contracts. In addition, Axa will recruit 1,300 people on work-study contract (with a lengths over 9 months), 500 internship and 800 general agents who will be self-employed workers. As no detail are given about the lenght of fixed-term contract, 2,000 people will be hired: 700 on permanent contracts and 1,300 on work-study contracts. The company recruits in insurance and support functions- actuaries, risk and claims managers-, in sales- customer development, individuals and professionals- and in new technologies- developers, testers, architects and data and security specialists.
