Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Logistics company Log'S has opened its renewed 128,000 m2 logistics centre in Wattrelos (Nord), following an investment of €85 million. 400 new jobs have been created: 200 have already been recruited, so 200 positions still have to be filled. The site was already operational: one building is for the clothing brand Pimkie and the second for the outdoor garden equipment specialist Walibuy (Alice's Garden). In 2022, Log'S had annonced to install 80,000 m2 of solar panels at the site to meet environmental targets.
A previous business expansion was recorded in the ERM database in 2017, with 100 jobs created ( Log's-2017-FR).
