Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish company Anodox Energy Systems has announced plans to produce electric vehicle batteries in Riga and will create up to 300 new jobs. From december 2022, the company plans to invest up to three million euros and will employ around 40 people to assemble electric car batteries. Next year the company plans to build a second plant in Riga overall creating up to 300 new jobs.
Anodox Energy Systems was founded in 2016 as a startup in Gothenburg, Sweden. From the very beginning, it worked on the development and adaptation of various energy system products to the needs of the automotive industry. In the first part of investment in Latvia, Anodox will produce high-quality battery packs for electric cars and light trucks in an automated factory. In the second, Anodox will produce high performance cells leveraging LFP technology.
