Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish telecoms company, Ericsson is to create 250 new jobs in Athlone over the next three years.
Ericsson Ireland has grown by a quarter over the past five year with 1,400 people currently employed in Ireland. The company has its global research and development campus in Athlone where 1,200 people are currently employed, as well as a further 200 employees in Dublin.
The new positions will include software developers, data scientists, architects, cloud and mobile communication engineers at all career stages.
