Paypal has announced to cut 307 jobs at its offices in Dublin and Dundalk, Co Louth. Job losses are across a range of functions. 135 of the redundancies will be at the Dublin office and 172 will be in Dundalk. It has been reported that some work is being relocated, possibly to Asia. The company is opening a consultation with impacted staff who have been notified about the situation.
Around 2,650 people are currently employed by Paypal in Ireland.
In 2021, Paypal had relocated 131 roles from Ireland to other countries (Paypal-2021-IE).
