Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Vénétis employee sharing company (groupement d'employeurs) has announced the recruitment of 100 employees to strengthen its teams, particularly those responsible for cyber security. Vénétis has 170 employees on a timeshare basis in the departments of Morbihan (Bretage) and Loire-Atlantique (Pays-de-la-Loire). In 2021, it had a turnover of €5 million. Vénétis recruits employees on permanent contracts and makes them available to its members on a time-sharing basis. The recruitment will help its 320 member companies to hire cybersecurity specialists. The employees retain their timeshare status for an average of four or five years before being hired full-time by one of the group's member companies.
