Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Japanese technology services provider NTT Data has announced the creation of 3,000 new positions in Spain by March 2023. The company currently employs 18,000 people in Spain. The company has offices in several locations in Spain, with the two main ones in Madrid and Barcelona. NTT plans that up to 40% of its new professionals will be young graduates in vocational training, particularly in web application development or infrastructure knowledge skills.
Update (22/10/22): NTT Data has inaugurated its new offices in Malaga (Spain) as part of ther nationwide expansion of NTT Data. The new facilities will host more than 250 highly qualified professionals, a figure that is expected to grow to 400 by 2023. From a regional point of view, and at present, the company has over 2,200 employees in the region of Andalusia, which is expected to reach 2,500 in year 2022. 50% of these new additions will depend on the Malaga office. Most of the projects carried out by NTT Data at local and regional level are aimed at several concrete sectors, particularly public, finance, health and manufacturing.
