European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Danish supermarket chain COOP will dismiss 100 employees who work at its headquarters in Albertslund, Copenhagen. Because of the rising prices in transport, energy and consumer goods due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to the war in Ukraine, the company needs to cut costs.
COOP is a company with several supermarket chains and one of the largest retail companies in Denmark. Currenly, the company has 16,900 employees.
