Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
GE Healthcare, an American manufacturer and distributor of medical technology and digital solutions, will hire 100 employees in Krakow, Poland, by the end of 2022. Since the beginning of the year, 40 people have already been recruited. GE Healthcare is looking for senior IT specialists, who have experience in Cloud Architecture, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or experts in the Salesforce platform. The company refers to the pandemic as the catalyst for its growth: COVID-19 accelerated the implementation of digital solutions in medicine.
GE Healthcare offers smart devices, data, analytical tools, applications and services to companies and started its operation in Poland in 2016. The company employs about 47,000 people worldwide.
Previous business expansion was recorded in the ERM database in 2013, with 150 new jobs (GE Healthcare-2013-PL).
