Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Austrian warehouse logistics and warehouse automation systems manufacturer, Knapp, inaugurated its new plant in Nemesvámos. The plant started its operation with a staff of 102 peope and the personnel is expected to expand to 250 by the end of 2022. The Hungarian plant will produce rolling conveyors for warehouse automation. It will reach full capacity in 2027, according to expectations – by then, it will produce the full range of Knapp conveyor systems. The plant is entirely produces for export, mostly to Europe and the US.
The investment cost was €16.7 million. Further development projects are envisaged, the next large project is the construction of an automated warehouse.
