Mercedes-Benz, a German manufacturer of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, announced plans to hire 1,000 software developers at the newly built Electric Software Hub at the Mercedes Technology Center (MTC) in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Mercedes-Benz invested over €200 million in their new software center to take a leading role in electric drive and car software. With the opening of the Electric Software Hub Mercedes-Benz announced on April 8th 2022 the creation of 1,000 new jobs for software developers at their site in Sindelfingen, Germany. At that time the company declared that 700 software developers had already been recruited. As of April 2022, it is unknown by when the job creation will be completed.
Mercedes-Benz Group, located in Stuttgart, Germany, has two subsidiaries, Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Mobility, both are listed on the stock exchange. The annual revenue in 2021 was €167,9 billion.
