Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The company specialised in luxury leather goods, La Maroquinerie Thomas, has announced the recruitment of 200 people within five years for its new site in Dracy-le-Fort (Saône-et-Loire). It has already launched the recruitment of 50 employees for the site, which will open in April. 'Made in France is on the rise and will enable the company to envisage the creation of more than 200 jobs within five years', says a press release from the Burgundy Regional Economic Agency, which has helped the company to set up the new implementation. La Maroquinerie Thomas is strengthening its presence in the Burgundy region. The company, headquartered in Semur-en-Auxois (Côte d'Or), had already opened a workshop in 2019 in Macon.
